Anchorman 2 - It's Coming.......

2012-05-17_0853

The road to the highly anticipated "Anchorman 2" has been a long one. Since "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy" arrived in 2004, there were reports from cast and crew confirming a sequel and announcing a script was in the process of being written.

But the words were then taken back, leaving fans dizzy and disappointed believing they wouldn't see the anchormen reunite. Finally, when all hope was lost, Ferrell made a surprise appearance on "Conan" as the legendary Ron Burgundy to announce that the sequel was greenlit.

With the "Anchorman 2" teaser trailer playing before Sacha Baron Cohen's "Dictator," the Lebanese Cinema Movie Guide released the first official poster. It shows the Channel 4 news team's feet standing on set in the studio, the bottom of their suits — including Ron's signature burgundy number, presumably not bought at the toilet store — keeping it classy as always. The official title of the film appears at the bottom in big, bold print ("Anchorman: The Legend Continues") with a release date of 2013.

While the film is still in the very early stages of development, the first movie's director and co-writer Adam McKay will reunite with Ferrell to pen the script and the principal cast is set to return, including Steve Carell and Paul Rudd. When MTV News spoke with McKay back in 2010, he told us he expected much of the cast to come along for the sequel.

"We had an idea, and we contacted Steve and Paul and David Koechner and Christina Applegate and checked in with everyone, and they were all game for it," McKay said. "It's a tricky movie, because everyone went and did really well after it, so everyone's prices went up and everyone's time got a little more valuable. But at the same time, graciously, Steve and Paul and everyone agreed to cut their price to come and do it, which you don't see very often in Hollywood - and cut their price substantially."

Thanks to the cast's commitment, Ron and the rest of the anchormen are set to hit theaters in 2013. Until then, stay classy, moviegoers.

Facebook Friends? Try Getting Some #Facebook Enemies. #fb

Im_adding_you_to_my_enemies_list

College professor Dean Terry is tired of the relentless positivity in Facebook, where everybody is friends with everybody else.

So he's built an app that lets you designate Facebook enemies as well.

As the Chronicle of Higher Education reported this weekend, Terry thinks that real world relationships are a lot more complicated than Facebook allows. For instance, more than 3 million people have signed up on a Facebook page asking for a "Dislike" button, but Facebook specifically outlaws that word in its developer terms.

But it doesn't have any rules against naming your enemies.

So Terry built an app called EnemyGraph that lets you take any entity in Facebook - person, place, other app - and deem them your enemy.

The app also posts "dissonance reports" that notify you when one of your so-called "friends" has liked one of your enemies.

Terry, who previously built an app that lets people see deleted tweets, expects Facebook to shut the app down. So get it while you can!

Bear Grylls Fired By Discovery Channel

Bear-grylls1

Bear Grylls, the fearless television star of Discovery Channel's survival show "Man vs. Wild," has been fired by the network over disagreements concerning two upcoming projects.

A spokesperson for the network told The Hollywood Reporter's Marisa Guthrie that "due to a continuing contractual dispute with Bear Grylls, Discovery has terminated all current productions with him."

Sources told the news website that the cable station severed ties with the British outdoorsman after it was "unable to get Grylls to participate in two unannounced projects."

"Man Vs. Wild," which was launched in 2006, catapulted the former member of the British Special Air Service to fame as a wilderness expert able to survive in some of the harshest environments. To stay alive in desperate situations, he was often shown performing dangerous techniques and chomping down on everything from giant grasshoppers to elephant dung.
